I turn off the music, log off, and go do something. Play the piano, read, ski.
I went skiing yesterday and I completely forgot all the stress, all the worry, and just concentrated on getting down the hill. It was . . . relaxing, physically challenging, and the best day I’ve had in a while

I like that. The thing about mountains, and I love the really high ones, is that they can be eerily quiet at the top. I love the adrenaline and anticipation of speed. I usually snow board, but I love skiing too.
      And that helps your loneliness?
No one really responded to this post….makes me wonder if anyone really manages it. Well

Ja, mountains will always be home to me, I’ll always be comfortable on mountains. Peaceful and quiet And the concentration on the skiing just pushed everything else out of my mind.
        It did, that day.
Recently, I’ve been feeling more lonely than I have been in a long time. So, just spending a day somewhere where there are no memories, just focusing on something different, helped. I guess it was a distraction from the stress and worry I have been feeling.
Some people are able to manage it better than others . . .
